Definition of Depression:

A very common mental disorder with a wide variety of symptoms including sadness, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of low self-esteem and hopelessness, poor appetite, lethargy and fatigue, poor concentration.  Chronic or recurring depression can impair a person's ability to function and may in severe cases lead to suicide.
