Stroke-Type Events

Evaluating Risk Factors: Stroke

Evaluating your likely current (and near future) state of health means taking into account the risk factors — such as stroke-type events — that affect you.   Our medical diagnosis tool, The Analyst™, identifies major risk factors by asking the right questions.

Diagnose your symptoms now!
  • understand what's happening to your body
  • see your health summarized and in detail
  • learn what you should be doing right now
If you indicate pre-existing cardiovascular problems, The Analyst™ will ask further questions including this one:
Have you suffered a stroke-type event?
Possible responses:
→ No / don't know
→ Mini-stroke (TIA or brief disturbance)
→ More than one mini-stroke
→ An actual stroke
→ A severe stroke or more than one

The Diagnostic Process

Based on your response to this question, which may indicate either having had mini-strokes or having had strokes, The Analyst™ will use differential diagnosis to consider possibilities such as Senile Dementia.  Multi-infarct dementia is caused by a series of minor strokes.  It usually results from damage to the small blood vessels in the brain causing deprivation of blood supply to the brain cells thus affecting its function.  Patients' abilities will decline in a step-like pattern.
