Coriander
 


Both the leaves (Cilantro or Chinese Parsley) and the dried fruits (Coriander seeds) of Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) are used medicinally as well as for culinary purposes. The seeds, mainly consisting of oils, have been used as stomachics, aromatics, and antispasmodics. Source


The German Commission E has "Approved" Coriander seed preparations for loss of appetite and indigestion. They are found often in products to relieve gastrointestinal complaints. Coriander seeds are supplied dry and ground, while the leaves should be fresh and green.

Reasons For Use
Coriander leaves have been recently shown to help in the detoxification of mercury, especially as it applies to the removal of dental amalgams.
