Lifetime Sun Exposure

Evaluating Risk Factors: Sun Exposure

Evaluating your likely current (and near future) state of health means taking into account the risk factors — such as lifetime sun exposure — that affect you.   Our medical diagnosis tool, The Analyst™, identifies major risk factors by asking the right questions.

Diagnose your symptoms now!
  • check your overall health status
  • identify any nutritional deficiencies
  • learn what you should be doing right now
In the Environmental Risk Factors section of the questionnaire, The Analyst™ will ask the following question about lifetime sun exposure:
During your lifetime, how much have you been exposed to the sun?
Possible responses:
→ Don't know
→ Limited exposure to sun, rarely enough to sunburn
→ Moderate exposure / occasional light sunburn
→ Significant exposure / many light sunburns
→ Extreme exposure / many severe sunburns

The Diagnostic Process

Based on your response to this question, which may indicate limited lifetime sun exposure, moderate lifetime sun exposure, high lifetime sun exposure or extreme lifetime sun exposure, The Analyst™ will use differential diagnosis to consider possibilities such as:
Osteoporosis - Osteopenia

A lack of natural vitamin D (obtained through exposure to sunlight) increases the risk of getting osteoporosis later in life.

Keratoses

Because risk increases according to total lifetime sun exposure, older people are much more likely to develop actinic keratoses.
