Evaluating Risk Factors: Refined Sugar

Evaluating your likely current (and near future) state of health means taking into account the risk factors — such as refined sugar consumption — that affect you.   Our medical diagnosis tool, The Analyst™, identifies major risk factors by asking the right questions.

Diagnose your symptoms now!
  • see your health summarized and in detail
  • understand what's happening to your body
  • let The Analyst™ find what's wrong
In the Food Intake section of the questionnaire, The Analyst™ will ask the following question about refined sugar consumption:
Roughly how often do you consume refined sugar? Include sugar-containing snacks (cookies, candy...), desserts (cakes, puddings...), or other servings of at least one tablespoon of sugar (for example in cereal, coffee...) Do not include soft drinks here.
Possible responses:
→ Never / rarely / don't know
→ About once per week
→ About 2-3 times per week
→ Roughly daily or almost daily
→ More than once per day

The Diagnostic Process

Based on your response to this question, which may indicate no refined sugar consumption, refined sugar consumption or high refined sugar consumption, The Analyst™ will use differential diagnosis to consider possibilities such as:
Gout / Hyperuricemia

High fructose consumption doubles the risk of gout.
